Sippy cup?

Dear more experienced moms:

Please send your wisdom my way. Jack is having a tough transition from bottle to sippy cup. He takes the cup for snack times, but for meal times- no way. Any brilliant ideas?

Much appreciated,

you could register at dfwareamoms.com then you can find all kinds of moms and get all kinds of advice (and dr. recommendations, etc)
That's the only advice I have since I'm less experienced than you in the mom-department

nuk sippy cups! My kids have never been on bottles just for that reason alone.. one less thing of weening! Good luck!

Have you tried the sippy type cups with straws that pop up? When I directed the YMCA daycare, the kids that didn't like sippy's always liked those - they're just annoying to keep completely clean in the straw if you use anything besides water. If I were you I'd pick one up at Wal-mart or Target just to try. I introduce sippy's at 6 months and it helps a lot! My friend skips sippy's and goes straight to cups at one year, but then you're limited to water bottles in the car.

I know I'm late commenting but if you're still frustrated, the thing that worked for Koby was the soft spout cups with handles( Walmart), and then I just refused to give him a bottle and we only had one rough night and he was fine, he amazingly love his sippy after we ditched the bottle.

Perhaps "sharing" it with a friend at church is the ultimate answer?
