It's official. I'm a cliche!

After 10 years of loyal service and many fun adventures...

...we traded in my Mustang for- gulp- a minivan!

I always said I'd never buy a minivan, but with baby numero 3 on the way, it was time to take the plunge! And, honestly, I couldn't be happier about it! It's wonderful and spacious, and had everything I needed & wanted in a new car.

Here's Jack driving the Mustang one last time-

 And, this is what I'm talking about- S P A C E! Love it.

Jack and Jason also LOVE the van, and can't get over all the buttons it has. Jack asks if he can go into the garage and play with the van now. Honestly, I can't blame him.

Crazy cute kids

I haven't posted pictures of my boys in awhile, so consider this post a sum-up of all their most recent, crazy escapades.

At the botanical gardens, hmm, who's that Jack is sitting on?

I say smile, and this is what I get-

Should I be concerned with Jack's obsession with sitting on his baby brother?

Jason's camera-ready grin and Jack's imitation of it-

Brothers on the see-saw, hang on for your life Jason!

Jack's bulldozer filled with rocks, I thought it was clever

After letting Jason out in the backyard to play, this is where I find him-

Okay, you have to appreciate these photos below. They perfectly highlight an inherent difference between Jack and Jason. Jason had just grabbed mounds of dirt and proceeded to throw it all over the patio, laughing gleefully as it sprayed dirt everywhere. Jack noticed this, and to his stress, came over saying "No Jason! That's dirty!" Jack then grabs the broom and sweeps the dirt off the patio, mumbling how dirty it was. Jason loves getting dirty and sticky, and Jack detests it.

Something my boys have in common- a love for chips and salsa!

These two are really fun to be around. Admittedly there are those days that they drive me crazy and all I want is for them to go to bed, but luckily those days are less frequent than the fun ones. They really enjoy having the other one around, playing together, running around, and wreaking boyish havoc together.

So, did I forget to mention?...

...that I'm nearly 7 months pregnant?!

Yeah so, sorry about that, been busy with life lately and what not. Actually, most of you probably already know anyways!

My belly looks good here, huh? Lest you think I'm still that small, I assure you this photo was taken nearly a month ago when I was more like 6 mos preggers. (Also, I'm not in the habit of doing formal wear maternity shots. I had just received my bridesmaid dress and tried it on, praying it fit over my bump.)

So we are for the third time, super excited (and terrified) for what bringing a new baby to this family means. And because we like things in three's, we are expecting ANOTHER boy! Admittedly, with the 3rd pregnancy we were kind of hoping for a girl, only to have our foolish hopes dashed by the sonographer pointing out an obvious *ahem* male part to us. On the bright side, I don't have to stock up on baby clothes, bedding, or change the baby room that much for that matter. What will be changing is Jason moving to Jack's room, and them learning to share.

So the official due date is May 22nd, just around the corner and we've officially begun Erin's pregnancy nesting phase around here. Jon is just overjoyed, I'm sure. As I'm typing, he's painting the boys' bedroom, amongst other projects. You know, I'm just sooo tired with the pregnancy that I can't really help that much, you know?

My sister got married!

My sister Teri got married last weekend, and it was spectacular! She'd been dating her new hubby Eric for about a year and a half, and is ridiculously in love, so it was wonderful to share such a fun and important day with her.

Here's the happy couple at the rehearsal dinner

We had Johnny Carino's, delicious

Teri gave me a beautifully monogrammed canvas bag as a bridesmaid gift- love it. And she thoughtfully gave my boys presents to open too; they were so excited to get their new books. Jack got one of those brainquest workbooks, and Jason got a fun coloring book. And Eric gave Jonathan a Home Depot gift card as a thank-you for being his best man. It was perfect since we are currently in the middle of our most recent painting project and had tons of paint to stock up on. As a sidenote, Jack ate about 2 loaves of bread for dinner, and Jason had my mom's lasagna and chocolate cake. Sounds good to me!

Jason opening his gift

The big day! Teri & Eric looked perfect together. She was gorgeous! Her jewelry was to die for. Kristi and I were her maid of honor and matron of honor, respectively. (makes me sound old I think) Check out Jason's cheesy smile. I LOVE it! He could literally be mid-tantrum, and you say "smile!" and he'd stop and flash you that cheesy grin. He's hilarious.

The ceremony was beautiful, I was tearing up the whole time, just so happy for my sister, and to have a new brother in the family! The reception afterwards was so much fun. Part of the reason for that was we had a babysitter meet us at the wedding to corral the boys and drive them home early for bed. It was wonderful to not have to chase after them!

Our Aunt Lynn, cousin Ryan, and cousin Randy and his wife Haley flew in from California for the wedding. So it was great to see them too. We all enjoyed the reception together- eating, dancing, and posing for pictures in the photo booth. Regrettably, I was too busy talking to people and peforming my bridesmaid duties (including making a toast!) to take my own pictures. That being said, my sister is sending me a cd of her wedding pictures, so I'll have some more to post a little later on.

My sisters and I at the wedding after-party....which is why there's a mechanical bull in the background. No, the wedding reception did not involve any mechanical bulls.

It was a whirlwind of a weekend. Did I mention how happy I am for Teri and Eric? And now, for their honeymoon, they're visiting Fiji! How amazing is that? I asked to come along, but for whatever reason they declined. Oh well, next time.
